Dear World

I stand here today,
As the woman who was not called brave.
As the woman who was incorrectly navigated into a position, society ignorantly gave.
As the woman who was mimicked, belittled & shamed,
For a raging voice & a heart untamed.

I stand here today,
As the woman who defines the very meaning of dauntlessness.
As the woman who fights & will continue to fight,
For every bit of her and other woman's right.

I stand here today,
To reclaim the mere purpose of my being.
For I am the imperishable force of flame,
The gentle wisp of air,
The deathless mystery of water,
And the unquestionable glory of earth.

I stand here today,
As I am, with the eternal love that lies at the very root of all things.
As I am, and proudly always will be,
a woman.
