someone i look up to once said
that the wolf at their head when they ran away to the woods
while they were bleeding out,
said
"nowhere will ever be as scary as here"
and that stuck with me.
nowhere will ever be as scary as here
nowhere will ever be as scary as here
nowhere will ever be as scary as here
and i trust their story, the words of that wolf
i trust that no matter where i go, big city or deep forest
it'll be okay, i'll be okay.
because no matter how large, how daunting the future and a place nay seem,
i feel fearless with the knowledge that
no matter how scary it is,
it will never be as scary as here,
nowhere will ever be as scary as here
this moment, this seemingly endless moment in time in which i'm so drowned and hopeless, dreadful in my desires,
this sickening moment-
i feel
safe with the words
"
nowhere will ever be
as scary
as here
"
