You said it's what's best,
As I cry into your arms, speechless.
My thinking reaches another level
Where I think I could keep you.
I should have found the words to
Say how much I didn't want you to leave. But I cry, and I kiss your neck the way you like,
And rub your arms as I peck your lips
To forget. You sense I'm a wreck
And kiss me back. And you say "I love you"
Between chewed lips. Knowing it isn't true,
But you want this between us, I move
Faster. Like aster flowers, stars shine under
My eyes. Love faith, mauve, lilac,
My back is rubbed with your hectic hands.
And I cry as I writhe into you,
There's a crack in your demeanor.I say "I know"
In my mind which is bold, I know. But it
Makes you smile for a while
As you mold my cheeks.
We're blindfolded in the heat of the moment,
Just with one another for a moment.
But the truth torments
Our souls with every melody. And I love it.
Your hands on top of mine.
I love it.
Your lips gently on mine.
I love it.
Not wanting to leave.
I loved it.
Convincing, the whispers,
The tempting voices from my heart
Telling you not to go. I wanted to show you I was more than just a pretty face.
