In that one split second.
Everything hit me.
The love slowly faded.
The bruise's aching dwindled.
And in that moment I knew.
It would be a long time I ever loved someone like the way I had loved you.
Then it was done.
You.
Us.
Them.

I searched for love all my life because it was the closest thing to magic.
And all I ever wanted to do was experience magic.
Despite all of the heartbreak and suffering I endured from being rejected time and time again I didn't give up.
But this time I think I need to focus on me. There's nothing wrong with me.
I love who I am but I need to focus more on goals that I have control over for now and hopefully someday I get to experience the adventure that comes with "falling in love."
