"Yes of course, we were on the football team together" Will said still eyeing him
"he is jacks new stepson? And my partner for a very important assignment" I smiled towards Dannon
"oh really? well he's a good boy so he's got my approval" Will chuckled and started ushering us inside.
That was one awkward night.

"No" I shook my head looking away from the group
It was now December and a week before the break, My friends were currently trying to get me to go to a Christmas party.
"Come on It'll only be for an hour. I promise we will leave early." Dannon pouted wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"Fine. but one hour and you take me home." I huffed crossing my arms
This thing between us has gotten more intense lately. We would flirt in front of the group now and he would steal kisses in private. But we have yet to say what we are or how we feel.
Later that night Dannon picked me and Lily up from house and we met up with everyone else at Dylan Hall's house for the party.
"One hour" I said eyeing Dannon as we walked up to the house.
"I know I know" He chuckled grabbing my hand and pulling me through the door with everyone else.
As soon as we entered the host along with a few others came up to Dannon insisting that he go play a game with them.
"I'll be fine for a little bit go ahead." I said giving him a small smile.
He was still unsure about it but he still walked off with them. I decided to keep following Lily who was trying to find Oliver.
"Finally" she huffed once we saw him
"Did you miss me?" He chuckled pulling her forward by her hips.
"your already drunk" she stated moving away from him
"not at all" Oliver grinned trying to move closer but she just pushed him and stormed away
"you should go get some water then follow her" I frowned
Oliver nodded and walked towards the kitchen, taking my suggestion.
A few minutes later I found McKenna sitting on Hero's lap somewhere in the corner
"Hello people" I said awkwardly trying not to touch anyone in the crowded space
"Your here!" She said excitedly giving me a hug
"Of course"
"where's Dannon?" Hero asked with a frown
"His friends pulled him away. I'll find him when it's time to leave." I shrugged sitting next to them
Almost an hour later and Dannon still wasn't back. It was getting weird sitting there and watching McKenna and Hero so I decided to go find him.
"I get the project thing but why are you hanging out with her so much?" I heard someone ask just as I was about to enter the kitchen
"I'm not. Hero likes McKenna so he wants to be around her which makes me be around Anna-Kate" I hear Dannon say
I peek my head around the corner and see he's sitting at the table with Dylan and another guy
"Then why did you reject amber?" Dylan asks
"Because she is psyco" Dannon chuckles shaking his head a little
"But she's hot, way hotter than Anna" the other guy laughs
"I don't like her dude"
"sure seems like it when you spend alot of time with her. And trust me it's not good for your reputation."
"I don't care about that. Trust me we aren't even really friends"
I felt someone bump into me making me fall forward on my stomach. All of there eyes fell on me the moment I hit the ground.
"Anna?" Dannon said standing up looking shocked
"Sorry" I frowned and stood up
I rushed past the crow and outside towards the street.
"Wait, Anna" Dannon called after me
As I rushed past Lily and Oliver, Lily grabbed my arm and looked at my face as tears threatened to pour. My anxiety was already so high at this point that I felt numb to the touch.
"you okay?" she mouthed but I just nodded
"Anna, I did mean it like that" Dannon said finally catching up
"You did mean it. If you didn't then you wouldn't have said it." I frowned turning to face him
"It's not like that, I.. I just said it to get them off my back" He frowned reaching for me but I stepped back
"It's fine. Oliver take me home please." I turned to Oliver who nodded
"Don't be like that" Dannon said grabbing my arm as he tried to pull me towards him.
"Don't touch me" I frowned yanking my arm away, "You can't even tell me how to feel but I expected you not to talk shit about me to your friends."
"I wasn't.."
"You didn't defend me and when they asked about our relationship you said there was none."
"But there is. We both know there is something here" He deepened his frown and gestured between us
"You told them there wasn't. So there isn't" I finally said and walked away towards Oliver's car where he and Lily sat
Once we started to pull away I looked up at Dannon to see he was still watching us.
His deep fear about love was now mine.
