So people ask me why i write some of my phrases in italic; i just do that to highlight some important hints that may give you an idea of how the story is going to develop anyways happy readingg!
Katherine's POV
"Are u sure????"
"Yes ma'am"
"Okay thank you" I ended the call
Christian is sure going to kill me when he hears this.
Hayley's POV
For just a second, I hoped that this was a joke and in real he wasn't here with me instead I was in bed having the worst possible dream
I opened my eyes and blinked in confusion but what I saw and heard didn't change, instead it became more complicated
"Is this some sick joke?" I yelled as I got up
Christian let go off my hand and his eyes darted to the floor
"Look at me Christian, tell me this isn't true"
"I can't"
My entire world was spinning around, my body felt light and before I knew it I lost control of my body and it fell, luckily Christian caught me midair and carefully seated me
He placed a hand on my forehead while his eyes searched my face
"Are you okay"
I sighed and nodded. I sat up straight, my mind refusing to believe everything
"How is he-"
"Hayley I know and trust me I got to know it right this morning"
"Katherine knew it"
This time, he nodded.
That bi*ch, she did it on purpose to separate us but I know there is something that we are missing
"No Christian, she is Katherine. There is something we don't know, there's definitely a catch"
He looked at me with a soft gaze but never spoke.
I felt myself suffocating and so I distanced us
I thought of something that might fit and one thing did, confirmation.
"Christian did you confirm it?"
"I asked George to, and he did"
I let my shoulders down in defeat. This was really happening. I blinked my eyes in frustration to block the tears but couldn't control it, they escaped and I broke down
All this while I was thinking why it was only me who was going through this, trying to be a better person and fix my life? This isn't true, it can't be. I can't let Katherine win
"Get up"
"What?" he asked in surprise
"I need to see it for myself"
"What?"
"Let's get a blood test; I won't sit back down until I know for sure"
He hesitated but agreed. I picked up Elijah and asked kai to come with us. All of us drove together to the hospital
If this isn't true, I will kill her by my own hands.
We reached the hospital and I walked through the doors, we soon were called for our turn.
Things were getting real, even if this is true, I need to confirm it
"Hayley?"
Christian held my hand right before he went inside
"I don't want to lose you Hayley" he said while looking into my eyes.
His eyes were pleading with me and I didn't have the strength to say no
"You won't" I said while looking into his eyes.
I wanted us to be different, to fight through it. I didn't want to give up this time because that shit hurts more, knowing that while you had the chance you never fixed it
With one last look he turned around and I looked at him hoping thing would get better
