A silent wind billows,
Whispering around the eaves,
Dancing amongst the painted shadows,
Scattering memories, like dried-up leaves.
This once strong edifice, crumbling
Hearth of laughters' warmth stone-cold.
Awaken the dying embers fading,
Tattered curtains of dark, and light unfold!
For it was I that left, this castle on the hill,
Shaking the cobwebs and the dust from my feet.
Hearts and friends long gone, here still
In the eaves and shadows where memories meet!
