Her smile as bright as the sun
Always reminded me of you
This joy when you became her mom
I know she misses you too
I still remember your laugh
When she began to talk
I always used to mock
The way you held her when she tried to walk
So tonight I stay in the rain
Remembering your love
Our kid watches rainbows while I hide my pain
Hoping you'll forgive me
I couldn't protect you
From this sickness that took you
