Pulling on a string adds tension to its core,
Dragging around a hopeless doll who has long gone bored,
Hands and feet jerking up with the pull of a string,
No one even questions the pain she must be in,
They only want her beauty, to use her and her abilities that are forced,
Never truly wondering if she ever wanted more,
One day she sees an axe-man, she cries, begs and pleads,
"Please, just cut these strings off, I just want to be free"
Granting her wish, she drops down and flees,
In her little marionette dress, she can finally find peace.

I wrote this poem one night when I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about Mafuyu (project Sekai) 's story and remembered her first ever event where she was represented through a marionette who longed for freedom, and it got me thinking about her growth as a character now compared to back then, and how she is slowly gaining that freedom that the marionette longed for, being released from the strings controlled by her mother. I won't say too much for those who haven't seen or read the stories, but it is certainly a very interesting topic to think about, or maybe I just over-analyse characters..
