Meera's pov

"Yarr, ye step aise nahi tha, tu galat kar rahi hai, Rani Pani!" Preeti's voice pierced through the room, making me press my hands against my ears.

(Yarr, this step isn't right, Rani! You're doing it wrong)

Rani, equally adamant, retorted, "Nahi, tu galat kar rahi hai, dekh video mein to aise hi dikhaya gaya hai!"

(No, you're doing it wrong. Look, it was shown like this in the video!)

Right now, they are in my room practicing for their dance program, but I'm frustrated with their loud voices.

Preeti shook her head, frustration evident in her tone. "Are yaar, thoda sa toh hum log kuch alag kar lenge. Nahin toh sabko lagega ki humne pura copy kiya hai videos se."

(Come on, let's add a little something different. Otherwise, everyone will think we copied the whole thing from the videos.)

Rani countered, "Par kisi ko kaise pata chalega ki humne kaha se copy kiya hai?"

(But how will anyone know where we copied it from?)

Preeti slapped her forehead in exasperation. "Jab Bhagwan dimaag baat rahe the, toh tu kya book leke kone mein padh rahi thi, bookworm?"

(When God was giving out brains, were you busy reading a book in some corner, bookworm?)

Rani shot back with a glare, returning the slap.

Preeti said, ''If anyone searches for this song, they'll find the dance video along with it, you know, in a blink!'" I looked at them and sighed. They were in my room, practicing for their dance program.

As Rani and Preeti continued their heated discussion about dance steps, I couldn't help but wince at the volume of their voices.

I said, ''Couldn't you find any other place? You've taken over my room!' I couldn't even concentrate on anything," I said to them with an angry tone. They looked at me and then at each other, smiling. They both came to me and hugged me.

"Preeti said, 'You know we love you,'" Rani added, "Yeah, we thought you'd feel left out, that's why we came here." She pinched my cheeks, and I swatted their hands away.

I said, ''I was fine alone. But since you've arrived, I've never had a moment's peace," I grumbled. They both ignored me.

"Preeti said to Rani, 'Let's practice. We don't have much time,'" and they started practicing. I looked at them, frustrated, and left my room with my book.

The classroom was unusually quiet, with only a handful of students scattered around. As I sat alone at my desk, attempting to focus on my math questions, I couldn't help but feel a sense of solitude in the air. Rani and Preeti had joined the other students for their program practice, leaving me to my own devices.

Just then, our computer teacher, Nikhil sir, entered the classroom, prompting a ripple of excitement among the students. "Since you all have a free period, let's head to the computer lab," he announced cheerfully.

Excited murmurs rippled through the classroom as everyone eagerly gathered their belongings. But just as we were about to leave, Nikhil sir's gaze fell on Lakhsya.

"Lakhsya, where is your tie?" he inquired, his tone firm but not unkind.

I glanced back and saw Lakhsya standing with a sheepish expression, his tie missing. He replied, "Sir, it came undone mistakenly while I was playing volleyball match in the ground."

Nikhil sir nodded, offering a gentle reminder, "Make sure you wear it properly and don't roam around the school without it. Now, let's go, everyone."

With a nod, Lakhsya began to fumble with his tie, struggling to get it just right. Feeling a twinge of sympathy, I hesitated for a moment, watching as the other students filed out of the classroom, leaving Lakhsya behind.
