I woke up in the comfort of my own bed.
But gosh I was far from comfortable.
My head pounded like someone was whacking it with a baseball bat and I was so tired.
I was wearing Liv's favorite fuzzy pj pants and a big grey hoodie.
I walked down the hallway of my dark apartment.
It was 11 am but there was no sight of everyone up.
I flickered the lights on in the living room.
"AHH!"
A body was passed out of my couch.
The person perked up from my scream.
"Sorry..." I say awkwardly and they go back to sleep.
I grab a box of cereal from the pantry and return to my room.
I hopped in bed and turned on my TV.
I scroll through my notifications and see many missed texts.
But my eyes mainly focus on a certain notification.
One I haven't seen in a bit.

I stare at the text message.
I'm not sure if I should answer or not.
I probably should.
It was most likely sent just to see if I'm okay, nothing more..
So why did my stomach feel flustered while reading it?

I turn my phone off and close my eyes.
Was Paige just bored with her life and in need to mess around with someone again?
Am I stupid for falling for her again?
I put my airpods in and I shuffle my playlist.
'Open arms' by SZA starts playing.
I grab my box of lucky charms, and I start picking out only the marshmallows.
My mom used to get mad at me for only eating the marshmallows, so I used to pay my brother to eat the cereal part.
My phone starts ringing.
Jadon is calling me, but I decline.
Even if he was drunk at the party, his reaction to me turning down a drink didn't make me feel good.
He calls back right away and once again, I decline his call.
I decide to turn my phone on do not disturb, as I watch TV, and slowly drift back to sleep.

"Do you think relationships are too distracting?" I ask my friends who are all sitting on our couch.
"No!" Nika shouts.
KK's face is filled with confusion.
"No, but depends who it is." She finally says.
I stare at the girl.
"What the heck does that mean?.." I question her.
She repositions herself and crosses her arms.
"Well if it's with someone emotionally exhausting, or someone you always have to worry about being off cheating—then yes."
Everyone looks around like they agree with what she's saying.
"But if it's with someone who is supportive of you, goes to your games, and is just easy to be around then no that's not distracting." The girl adds.
But in the past, I would become too distant in relationships, because I didn't want them to be a distraction.
And I want to make a relationship work, I'm just not sure how.
"Thanks." I say flashing everyone a smile as I get up and walk to my room.
