Chapter 9- Sweet revenge

[Meanwhile]

"Who-o are you.... no.... let-t go... no.... let-" my eyes shot open. I felt a sting of pain on my forehead. I was lying on the ground, my legs and hands tied up. Looking around, I realized I was inside a construction site, an abandoned one. Just then I remembered, someone had kidnapped me. The guy who came for a delivery.

"Hello?! Is anyone there?! Help me!?" I yelled. My voice echoed through the entire empty construction site 

"Shut up, will you? There's no houses or shops up to one kilometer from here and you expect someone to come and help you?" A voice spoke up from the stairs. It was the same guy, but as usual, I couldn't see his face. He was hiding in the darkness

"You. You are behind all this right? Those threatening phone calls, keeping my dad's phone on intentionally, kidnapping me and killing Min-young" I confronted him. Instead of saying something, he started laughing as if he found it funny

"Bingo! No wonder you are that Vice Chairman's secretary" He replied and continued laughing

"Why are you doing this?!" I yelled

Instead of saying something, he stood up. Walking towards me, he kneeled in front of me. I couldn't see his face, it was covered with a mask and a cap

"Sweet revenge" He replied grabbing my chin. I looked away from him but he forced me to look at him, grabbing my chin quietly harshly

"Whenever I talk to you, look at me. This is my last warning or the next time...." He said tracing the gun down my jaw, making me gulp. I was shivering by this time. Tears welled up in my eyes, which slowly rolled down my cheeks making him chuckle

"Look at you, you are already shivering from fear" He said standing up. I took a deep breathe

"Why are you so shivering huh? If you are like this now, what'll happen when you watch him die in front of your eyes?" He said making my eyes go wide

"What do you mean?" I questioned

"I told you. Sweet revenge. I'll make sure to make everyone feel the same pain which I did" 

"Listen, don't hurt anyone. Your main target is me right? Kill me, not someone else" I spoke

"No no no. That is my plan! That's my freaking plan! I'll give you something worse than death, and that's loosing someone you love the most. And that person, is Kim Taehyung"

[Time skip: Kim Corporations]

Author's POV:

".... I don't care what you are doing right! My wife is kidnapped is for god's sake! Leave everything and track that number as soon as possible!" Taehyung yelled at the officer 

"Mr. Kim, I understand your concern but after tracking the number, our officers went there but it was nothing but a vast dried land. There wasn't even any house or anything, CCTV's are way off the talks" The officer replied

"Damn that guy! He's smart. He chose that place on purpose" Seokjin replied 

"Right. He chose such a place where there are no house or CCTV's or anything on purpose" Namjoon added

"Officer, search the areas out of the dry land. Maybe, he's somewhere around there" Taehyung said

"Yes. This is officer Lee, gather a search team and ask them to search the areas around the dry land and check the nearby CCTV's if you found any" The officer spoke on the walkie-talkie ordering the other officers

"Taehyung is there someone you or Y/n might suspect?" Jimin asked

"No but- wait... Hyung. I want you to do something" Taehyung said all of a sudden

"Yes, what is it?" Namjoon replied

"I want you to do a background check on Ahn Jung-woon. Find out about his business and stuff but most importantly, about his family. If he had any wife or child, find about that person and get back to me immediately" Taehyung replied 

"Ahn Jung-woon? Wait, how do you-" Jimin was cut off by Taehyung saying,

"Y/n told me everything. I think that person has something to do with Ahn Jung-woon, after all, a person who think about only revenge is more dangerous than any other" 

"Understood. Taehyung, me and Namjoon will go and do the background check. You and Jimin stay here, in case you find something" Seokjin said grabbing his coat and car keys. He left the police station with Namjoon following him

Taehyung took a seat on a chair nearby. Burying his face in his eyes, he blamed himself for leaving you all alone. He cursed at himself, called himself a jerk for leaving you. At that moment, all he feared was never being able to see you again. On the other hand, Jimin was no less worried. You were his only family. You were the only person he cared and loved the most. Taehyung's condition made his heart soften

He walked up to Taehyung, and took a seat next to him

"Jimin-n, aren't you angry on me? It's always Y/n-n who is in danger and I fail-l to protect her, every time, every single-e time!" Taehyung asked, the tears were threatening to fall

"Yes, I'm angry on you. So angry that I'm dying to punch you in the face and yell 'you jerk, why can't you keep my sister safe' but I won't. You know why? Because I'm aware of one fact. As long as you are here, nothing will happen to Y/n. You wouldn't let anything happen to her" Jimin replied

"I'm a jerk like always. I shouldn't have left her alone" Taehyung mumbled

"Everyone has been once. You know, after our dad died, Y/n used to get frequent panic attacks. Despite knowing the fact, one day I stayed out late and my phone's batter had drained out as well. The next day when I came back, I found out that Y/n was admitted in the hospital cause she had got a severe panic attack. After charging my phone, I realized how many times she has called me. I blamed myself for everything. I expected Y/n to be angry on me just like you expect me to be on you but you know what she said?"

"What?" Taehyung asked

"She said, 'Jimin, see, I overcame my panic attack. I knew nothing would happen to me because I knew you'd come and protect me. Thank you for coming'. After that day, I never left her alone. Taehyung, listen. I'm not blaming you or anything. I just know that nothing will happen to Y/n because everyone including Y/n herself knows that you'll never let anything happen to her" Jimin completed and somehow his words made Taehyung feel at ease

"Jimin, I will find and bring her back no matter what..."
