She carries on with a brave face
But inside she'sin a dark place
Loneliness and sorrow consume her soul
Yet she pretends to be whole
Her smile masks the agony she feels
As she struggles to keep her emotions concealed
But behind those sparkling eyes
A broken girl silently cries
So if you see me just know
That behind the smile there's a shadow
A girl who hides her pain so well
But deep down she's not doing so swell
