The class started to laugh as Scott dropped from the climbing wall but was hovering two feet from the ground because of the harness
Coach chuckled as he said, "McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy. Right? All right, next two. Maddie, Erica, let's go. The wall."
Moments later Maddie and Erica were on the wall, Maddie was about to start climbing up when she saw Erica start to panic, "You okay? You don't need to do this."
Erica shook her head, "Oh, please...."
"Erica. Dizzy? Is it Vertigo?" Coach called up to them
"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out." Lydia said
"Erica?" Coach called up
"I'm fine." Erica said
Maddie looked down as she called, "Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic right?"
"Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff? I have to get - Erica, y - you're fine. Just - Just kick off from the wall. Th - There's a mat to catch you. Come on." Coach called
Erica shook her head and Maddie said, "Hey It's okay, I'll jump with you okay?"
Erica then nodded her head, "Okay, one, two three."
On the word three Erica and Maddie jumped off of the wall and landed on the mat below them
"See, you're fine. You're on the ground. You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. You're fine." Coach said as Maddie and Erica stood up
Erica started to walk off as most of the students laughed at her
"Shut up all of you!" Maddie said as she jogged after Erica,
"I'm okay." Erica said
Maddie shook her head, "Oh no that's not why I followed you... I followed you because I wanted to tell you that I think that you were pretty brave back there."
"You do?" Erica asked with a small smile
Maddie nodded, "Yeah, you didn't let something that you knew would stop you, stop you... I'm Maddie."
