At Stiles's house Stiles and Scott were trying to convince Mr. Stilinski that Matt was the real killer not Mr Harris.
"So this kid is the real killer?" Mr. Stilinski asked
Stiles nodded, "Yeah."
"No."
"Yes!" Stiles said
"No." Mr. Stilinski said
Stiles sighed and said, "Dad, come on everybody knows that the police look for ways to connect victims in a murder, okay? So all he had to do is, like, look through their transcripts and figure out which class they had in common."
"Yeah, except for the fact the rave promotor Kara wasn't in Harris's class." Mr. Stilinski said
"All right, okay you're right sorry. Then I guess they dropped the charges against him?" Stiles asked
Mr. Stilinski shook his head, "No, you know what? They're not dropping the charges but that doesn't prove anything."
"He-"
Mr. Stilinski cut Stiles off saying, "Scott, do you believe this?"
Stiles groaned in frustration as Scott said, "It's really hard to explain how we know this, but you just gotta trust us."
"We know it's Matt." Stiles said
Stiles nodded and said, "Yeah, he took Harris's car okay? Look he knew that if a cop found tire tracks at one of the murders and that if enough of the victims were in Harris's class that they'd arrest him."
"All right fine. I'll allow the remote possibility, but give me a motive I mean why would this kid want most of the 2006 swim team and it's coach dead?" Mr. Stilinski asked
"Isn't it obvious? We suck! The Swim team haven't won in like six years. We don't have a motive yet, does Harris?" Stiles asked
"What do you want me to do?" Mr. Stilinski asked
Scott and Stiles shared a look as Scott said, "We need to look at the evidence."
"Yeah that would be in the station, where I no longer work." Mr. Stilinski said
