A couple days later at the Sheriff station Maddie and Stiles were having dinner with the Sheriff. Stiles thought that Maddie could help him get information out of his dad.
"Oh, what the hell is this?" Sheriff Stilinski asked as he bit into his burger
"Veggie burger." Stiles said simply
"Stiles, I asked for a hamburger." Sheriff Stilinski said
Stiles nodded and said, "Well, veggie is healthier. We're being healthy."
"And I'm not." Maddie said as she bit into her meat burger
"How come Maddie can eat that?" Sheriff Stilinski asked
"Because I swim I am already being healthy." Maddie said with a smile
Sheriff Stilinski sighed as he went to open the box with his fries in only to find that inside was celery and carrots
"Oh hell why are you trying to ruin my life?" Sheriff Stilinski asked
"I'm trying to extend your life, okay? Could you just eat it, please? And tell us what you found?" Stiles asked
Sheriff Stilinski shook his head and said, "No I'm not sharing confidential police work with a couple of teenagers."
Maddie then noticed the murder board behind Sheriff Stilinski's head she slightly kicked Stiles and nodded towards the board.
"Is it on that board behind you?" Stiles asked
"Don't look at that." Sheriff Stilinski said, Maddie and Stiles kept looking at the board, "Avert your eyes."
"Just... it's just I see arrows pointing at pictures." Stiles said
"You might as well tell us, we've seen it now." Maddie said
Sheriff Stilinski nodded and said, "Okay, okay fine I found something. Mechanic and the couple who were murdered. They all had something in common."
"All three?" Stiles asked
"Yeah, you know what I always say one's an incident two's coincidence-"
Stiles cut Sheriff Stilinski off saying, "Three's a pattern"
