Alone in the night,
The stars twinkle and glimmer,
But the shadows of my sorrows,
Will always linger.I try to fill the void,
But to no avail,
Any attempt at joy,
Just seems to fail. It's a sense of being forgotten,
A feeling that's left me broken. It's the feeling of being disconnected,
From the world and all its light.Like a ship in the ocean, neglected,
Drifting aimlessly through the tides. But in my loneliness, I find,
A hidden beauty, so divine,
The chance to know the depths of my mind,
To see a world of a different kind. It's shouldn't be this hard for me,
To build a connection,
Now I can clearly see,
The cure for loneliness is my reflection.
