My reflection

Alone in the night,
The stars twinkle and glimmer,
But the shadows of my sorrows,
Will always linger.

I try to fill the void,
But to no avail,
Any attempt at joy,
Just seems to fail.

It's a sense of being forgotten,
A feeling that's left me broken.

It's the feeling of being disconnected,
From the world and all its light.

Like a ship in the ocean, neglected,
Drifting aimlessly through the tides.

But in my loneliness, I find,
A hidden beauty, so divine,
The chance to know the depths of my mind,
To see a world of a different kind.

It's shouldn't be this hard for me,
To build a connection,
Now I can clearly see,
The cure for loneliness is my reflection.
