[Taehyung's POV]

As I stood in the opulent living room of our family's mansion in Japan, my mother's words reverberated in my mind like a haunting melody.

"Taehyung, my dear, remember to make your father proud.."

Her voice tinged with a mixture of pride and apprehension.

Glancing at my father, who sat with an air of authority, I felt the weight of his expectations bearing down on me.

"It's time for you to prepare for your future, Taehyung,"

he declared, his voice firm and unwavering.

"Pack your bags – you'll be heading to Korea soon to take over as the new CEO."

The announcement caught me off guard, sending a surge of anticipation and nervous energy coursing through my veins. I had always known that my destiny was tied to the family business, but the reality of inheriting such responsibility left me feeling both exhilarated and anxious.

Amidst the whirlwind of preparations for my journey to Korea, my father dropped another bombshell – I was to attend the debut performance of an artist under our company's label. It was a directive, not a suggestion, and I understood the gravity of the command.

As I boarded the plane bound for Korea, I couldn't shake the sense of unease that settled in the pit of my stomach.

The anticipation hung heavy in the air as I made my way to the THV Labels, the bustling streets of Seoul fading into the background. The paparazzi swarmed around me like bees to honey, their incessant clicking filling the air. It was my first public appearance since returning to Korea, and the pressure was palpable. After all, I was to inherit the mantle of CEO, to carry on the legacy that he had built over the years.

Arriving at the label's building, I was greeted by a flurry of activity – stylists, managers, and assistants scurried about, each one focused on their respective tasks. The weight of my father's expectations bore down on me, and I couldn't help but feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.

As I stepped into the performance hall, the atmosphere crackled with excitement, the hum of anticipation echoing off the walls. The stage was bathed in a soft glow, the air heavy and crowd buzzing with energy.

And then I saw her – Aeng Hwa, standing on stage like a vision from a dream.

"Aeng.."

I whispered under my breath.

She was stunning, more beautiful than I remembered, and yet there was a sadness in her eyes that tugged at my heartstrings. It had been four long years since we last saw each other, and yet here she was, a haunting reminder of a past I had tried so hard to forget.

We were from two different worlds now, destined to walk separate paths. I had made my choices, and she had made hers. There was no turning back, no undoing the mistakes of the past.

Time seemed to stand still as I watched her, my heart pounding in my chest. She was ethereal, a vision of beauty and grace, and I couldn't tear my eyes away.
Aeng Hwa's voice filled the air, each note a balm to the soul. She danced with a fluidity that spoke of years of dedication, her movements captivating and hypnotic.

In that moment, I knew that I had to let her go. She was a chapter of my life that had come to an end, but now that the chapter is reopening itself again.. I couldn't help but wonder- what if things had been different? But it was a question without an answer.

She bowed to the audience and disappeared from sight.

how could I ever forget her?
