1 week later

"Mom where are dills pull ups?" I yelled from upstairs.

"I got rid of them"

I was tired of my parents being here.

I left dill laying on her bed, playing on my phone.

I stormed downstairs and into my living room.

"Mom you can't just get rid of stuff!" I said in a huff.

My mom just shrugged.

"Bray, she's four she needs to learn"

I was shocked.

I know my mom raised me but Delaney is different then me and is a little bit behind in growing and developing.

"You don't get to tell me what she needs to learn because when she wets the bed, you'll clean it not me" I said getting angrier as I talked.

I loved my mom but she likes to parent my child and I don't appreciate that.

I know I'm young but I know what's best for my child.

"Braydon you're getting angry for no reason. You baby Delaney too much"

I took a deep breath before responding.

Before I responded I looked at my dad and he was really focusing on the show, obviously avoiding confrontation.

He hated getting involved.

"Delaney is a baby. She's four not twenty!" I yelled.

Mh mom flinched back.

"Braydon don't raise your voice at me" She said calmly which made me fume a little more.

"No, this is my house! That is my child upstairs! You can't get rid of things without permission!" I yelled.

She rolled her eyes while crossing her arms.

"I'm done with this conversation" She said while staring at the tv.

"You are forty years old act like it" I spat then stormed off.

I like to have the last word and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I walked into Delaney's room and she was sucking on her fingers, half asleep with my phone laying against her chest.

I gently took my phone from her and she squirmed a little before her eyes fell on me.

"Hi daddy" She kind of said but it was mumbled since she was half asleep.

It was about a half hour past her bed time.

"Time for bed" I said as I tucked her in and then kissed her cheeks.

She was passed out as soon as the covers hit her body so I quietly left.

I walked into my room and saw my mom looking at all the pictures on my dresser and on my wall of Delaney.

"What are you doing in here?" I asked.

She jumped before turning around.

"I'm sorry"

Was the first thing out of her mouth and I was shocked.

My mom never apologized for her actions.

"What?" I asked.
