The doorbell rings and I feel my chest tighten.
I always feel so awkward around guests.
Dammit I can't believe Luke managed to get out of having to sit with the guests again.
I hear my parents greet the Thompsons and laugh as they chatter happily.
I shake out my hands wildly and clap on my cheeks a couple times to release some of my nerves. I take one more look in the mirror to make sure I don't look bad.

I can't.
Send help.
I'll just act as if I don't know they're here yet.
I take out my phone to text my friends in hopes that they can save me from the monsters that is socializing.
