"The guy didn't live in the building; nobody here has ever seen him before." Tan shook his head squinting from the bright lights that shone above him "Think he was in on it?"

"I mean, it would make sense if they wanted to keep anyone from intervening." Luca nodded at them

"Yeah, he acts like a civilian, uses a gun to control the crowd, any would-be heroes." Y/n stated, they we're speaking loudly seeing as SWAT had set up everything they could to find the missing girl

"Just never seen a snatching so coordinated." Deacon stated obviously thinking hard about this all, the mayor stepped out of her car and began to talk to press with the father of the missing girl.

Chris walked over to the group as Many different ringtones sounded as they all got the same message

"Hostage video." Luca looked up at his teammates as it showed up on the big screen

"$50 million to the homeless?" Deacon stated confusion lacing his tone

"The words they're making her say, I knew I recognized them. Look, it's almost verbatim." Luca showed them his phone that had the information for another kidnapping on it "Ruling class family. Donation to the needy..This is the SLA playbook. Okay, this is Patty Hearst 2.0."

"Patty Hearst? The kidnapped heiress from the 70s?" Tan asked confused as to why they would do this again

"Yeah, that's the one." Luca put his phone away and looked at them "Whoever took Lauren is making her do Patty Hearst's hostage statement almost word for word."

"I know what it got them the first time." Deacon nodded as they entered the trailer

"May 1974. LAPD surrounded one of the Symbionese Liberation Army hideouts, thinking Patty was inside, but the SLA wouldn't surrender." Y/n said as they looked at the big screen that showed the video of what she talked about "Then they opened fire on the cops."

"Looks like a war zone." Tan said as he walked over next to her and crossed his arms

"Biggest police shoot-out in American history." Deacon walked over now

"How'd it get so out of control?" Chris looked at the video concerned

"Well, the SLA kept firing back. Even as their house burned to the ground with all of them in it." Deacon told her with a nod
