Poem #92

Their cries for death go unheard
Lost in the void, their words deferred
The pain within, too much to bear
But no one seems to really care

They pray for peace to end this strife
To escape this damned life
But no one seems to hear their plea
As they drown in their own misery

Their screams ring loud, yet fall on deaf ears
Their heart, breaking with countless fears
They long for the cold embrace of death
To release them from their constant breath

But fate has deemed it's not their time
To leave this world, so cruelly sublime
And so they carry on, with these unfulfilled cries
As the weight of their sorrows never dies

So there they lay, with their cries unheard
Invisible to those around, like an unseen bird
But one day, death will answer their call
As they finally find solace, six feet under all.
