Chapter 12: Let's Train!

"Why do you want to become a hero?"

I didn't want to become a hero, a-hole.

Back in the day when your mom was still alive, you didn't know that your father was a villain since you rarely see him everyday. You always thought he was a hero because you heard he fight people. Actually, you didn't know there were villains until that monster...

"Y/N, dear, why do you want to become a hero?" Your Mom asked in a very gentle tone while you were playing with your dolls. "Because I want to fight for people! Just like dad! Oh and you too, Mom! I know you're not a hero but you're my hero!" You replied happily. She smiled at your answer and she hugged you tight.

"You will become a hero, darling." She muttered. "And soon... You'll take Dad to his home." You were confused when she said that. But you shrugged it off and just let it be. You still didn't know until now. Home... Dad is home.

"Earth to Y/N." You flinched when Uraraka's voice became loud enough to snap you out of your thoughts. "Sorry." You smiled awkwardly. "So, you wanna tell me?" She asked.

"U-uhmm."

Damn it, what should I tell her? I could just lie to her but I couldn't think of anything to tell her.

She looked at you, patiently waiting for an answer.

"M-My grandma... My grandma and I dreamed that I would be a hero in the future! Sadly, she died a year ago so now, here I am taking the first step on becoming a hero, UA!" You ended your statement with an awkward laugh.

"Wow! That's really inspiring, yet sad... I'm sorry for your loss..." Uraraka commented. "Oh no, no. It's okay. Atleast I'm living my dream now, right? Hehe..."

"Yup! And I'm happy for you, Y/N!" After a few gossips, she walked over to Iida and Midoriya's direction. You stayed in your seat and rested your head on your desk. You sighed and relief. That was a close one.

"Wh-What's going on?"

The afternoon session was over and now a bunch of students are blocking the hallway. The reason why they're here is pretty obvious. With the sports festival going on, there will be war.

"What business do you have with Class A?"

"We can't get out! What'd you come here for, anyway?"

"Scouting out the enemy, small fry." Bakugo butted in. "We're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. They probably wanna check us out before the sports festival."

Woah. Bakugo just read my mind.

He stood right beside you and faced the sea of students and said, "There's no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!"

Is this my first time hearing him say something without yelling? What happened to him?

"Stop calling people 'extras' just because you don't know them!" Iida yelled while doing his weird robotic gestures again.
