Robbing the Yagami Household

You located the Yagami household, struggling a bit due to the common architecture in the neighborhood. However, after walking around for what felt like hours, you saw the last name plate on the front gate, which was a huge help.

You quickly climbed up to the second story window. Keeping an eye out for any pedestrians that could possibly report you.

Woah, my body in this world is surprisingly agile. This is going to be very useful in the future.

As you entered the house, you figured his mother was most likely cooking dinner downstairs. While his sister wouldn't hear you, since she clearly couldn't hear Light's maniacal laughter from his room, a few sounds would most likely not alarm her.

You locate the bedroom that you assumed belonged to Light's parents. You rush into the room, quietly snatching a few valuables that would go unnoticed if missing.

I forgot, Light hasn't come back yet.. I need him to bring the death note, then I can break in again.

You located a pawn shop where you could exchange your new property for cash. You sold the items for approximately $900 all together. It was more than you anticipated.

This should be enough to live on for a bit before I can stay with L ;)

In the task force building, of course..

You made sure that you left no trace of your involvement with the items being stolen or the selling of the items.

After looking around, you found a relatively cheap hotel. Where the price was $20 a night.

It was a very crappy, rundown hotel with barely any security. You did this because you didn't want any trouble getting a room due to your lack of identification.

You settle into your new "home" for the time being and go to sleep.

The next day, you experienced nothing unexpected at first. You went to the class that you first got iseked into. Although you didn't know why your sudden appearance wasn't being questioned by your classmates, you knew it was better this way.

You greeted Light, who continued to try to get close to you for an unknown reason.

"Hey, since I didn't get to hang out with you yesterday, how about we hang out today?" Light asked.

I guess getting close to him won't be THAT bad of an idea. I just won't give him my proper identification.

"...sure," you said hesitantly.

"By the way, I didn't catch your name," Light said with a smile.

He thinks he's so sneaky, huh? I didn't even do anything for him to want my name.

You smile. "You can call me N/n."

(N/n-nickname)

"N/n?" Light repeated, trying to pry your last name out of you.

UH ..

"You don't need to know my last name," you say quickly.

Light thought: "Why is she cautious? It's just a name... unless she knows something she shouldn't know. "

"Anyways, are we going to hang out or not?" You asked, slightly irritated.

"Sure N/n," he responded, without hesitation in his voice. He needed to find out why you suddenly appeared out of thin air.

"Where?" you asked.

"What about my place?" He offered

"Okay, lead the way," you say, following Light.

Not me acting like I don't know where it is.

You arrive at his house. You were first greeted by his mother, Mrs. Yagami.

"Hello Mrs. Yagami, I'm a classmate of Light's. I hope you don't mind my intrusion," you say with an innocent smile.

If she doesn't mind, then she wouldn't mind my intrusion yesterday, right?

"Not at all! Welcome." His mom welcomed you inside nicely.

"Come on, let's go to my room." He grabbed your hand.

You got your hand out of his grip, wiping your hand on your shirt secretly.

"Sure thing. It was nice meeting you Mrs. Yagami" you say as you bid his mother goodbye.

You both arrive in his room.

Is Ryuk going to show up or what?

You and Light had normal small talk. Most of the conversation was Light attempting to find more information about you while you responded with vague answers.

After you both talked for a reasonable amount of time, you started to get bored.

I need to find a way to get him out of the room so I can touch his notebook.

"Did your mom just call you?" You asked. Making an excuse

Light looked at you in confusion.

Before Light could respond, his mother actually called for him.

"Light! I need your help really quickly," his mother yelled.

You managed to hide your shock by giving Light an 'I told you so' face.

That's such a coincidence.. or not.. either way, this is a main character moment.

Light stood up and left the room to help his mother. You knew you didn't have much time before he came back.

You quickly made your way to his drawer and picked up the pen that was the deepest in there.

The pen that is closest to the bottom is most likely the one Light used, since he wanted it to be hidden.

Sure enough, after putting the tip of the pen in the hole, the drawer opened and you put your hand in there and touched the death note.

That was all you needed. You didn't need to try to get it out. You figured something could go wrong, so you left it there and put everything back to normal.

You guessed Ryuk would appear soon to find his notebook, so you took your leave.

"I need to leave. Bye, Light. I'll be going home now. See you at school" you say, walking past Light on the way down the stairs.

It seems like your instinct was right because not long after you left, you heard Light scream.

That must be his reaction to seeing Ryuk. You laughed to yourself.

During the following days of school, you didn't show up. You knew that these days weren't very important and were only for Light to experiment on his killings. Besides, you didn't feel the need to go to school.
