You were asleep and laying down comfortably on the sofa in the middle of the hotel room.
Since you didn't get much sleep the previous night, you had decided to sleep in the task force headquarters while the second Kira was being dealt with.
You were oblivious to what was happening around you. You had your limbs sprawled out on the sofa, with no regard to where you were. Even snoring a bit, yet having a neutral expression on your face.
You looked so normal, it was hard for the rest of the task force to believe that L had taken you on the force. You looked like an average 1st year college student.
Light got up from working with L, preparing the videotape for the second Kira.
He took off his jacket and placed it on top of you.
You were still in deep sleep when Light placed the jacket on you. Light was walking back to his seat with a small smile on his face. However, he didn't expect what you would do next.
Your body threw the jacket off instinctively, leaving it on the cold floor. You moved back into a comfortable position.
It was a comical sight, seeing Light look dejected by the fact that you were rejecting his gesture even in your sleep.
"Watari, please bring a blanket," L ordered.
Watari went outside to find a blanket and came back to give it to L.
L placed the blanket on top of you. You snuggled into the blanket, becoming completely engulfed in the warm shelter.
L let out a sigh of relief, seeing how you didn't reject his gesture. Light watched, hiding his annoyance by focusing on the task he was given.
After some time, when the sun was already down, you slowly woke up, becoming accustomed to the light from the lightbulb above you.
"Ryuzaki, does this look okay? I think I managed to make it believable." Light told L, referring to the script, he wished to put on show the 2nd Kira.
Instead of interrupting them, you decided to silently listen, not entirely remembering this scene.
"Mm, I think you've done an excellent job with this. However, if we don't take out the part that says' 'you're free to kill L ', then I'm going to end up dead," L told Light.
You couldn't stop yourself from laughing.
They both suddenly look up at your interruption.
"N/n? You're up? " Light asked.
"Haha, yes, yes," you say, calming yourself down.
"What are you guys doing right now? I need to catch up on the events," you say, trying to jog your memory of the events leading up to this situation.
"Well, we're making a message for the second Kira, and Light over here seems to have taken his part too seriously, as you heard just now." L briefly explained the situation to you.
"I was just improvising. Feel free to change it however you'd like. " Light tried to explain
"I see," you say, now getting a grasp of the whole situation.
This tape is going to be aired tomorrow. Since Misa has already made her move, it seems like the story might change because I'm here.
You glanced up at L and Light.
Misa and Light still need to get together, but I don't want Misa to suffer a fate like the official ending
While thinking it over, sitting down with your hands behind your head, you come up with an idea.
I should talk to Rem, but I need her to believe me. Since I know that Ryuk can't see my lifespan, it's entirely possible that Rem and Misa aren't able to see it either.
Already forming a plan for the following events, you decide to think it over back at your current place of living, if you can call it that.
"I'll be going back now. See you guys tomorrow," you say, getting up and putting your shoes back on. Contemplating whether to take the blanket or not
"N/n, we've already prepared you a room here. We have also gotten your items from your old room. It's much safer and a lot more convenient. " L informed you
You stand there, shocked
Can I sue him and get money because of this? He touched my stuff.
Before you speak up, Light defends you.
"Shouldn't this be up to N/n to decide? I think she would like her privacy," Light told L
"Now you're going to be able to watch me 24/7." You sigh
"Is there something wrong with your new living arrangements?" L said.
Lights' protest was ignored.
"Uhm, yes... everything!?" You responded
"I prefer my privacy, thank you very much." You looked at L, a bit annoyed.
"For the time being, please get used to living here at the hotel, "L told you.
"I wouldn't mind staying at your place," you told L, half jokingly.
