"I have to admit Ryuga, I never thought you'd ask to play tennis as a way to get to know each other " Light said
"Is it a problem for you?" L asked
You didn't pay attention to the rest of their conversation, more upset over the fact that they excluded you again.
If it wasn't for Light inviting you, then you wouldn't have been there in the first place
I'm starting to like Light better for the time being..
You took one glance at Light
Never mind, I take that back. They are both on my bad side for now.
You watch the tennis match from afar, contemplating whether or not you should sabotage it.
You decide against it.
You didn't watch with that much anticipation, knowing the winner of the match already.
You walk off to get a better look of the campus. While you were wandering around the campus, you came across Kiyomi Takeda.
She eyes you up and down.
Uhm.. what's her problem?
"Ahem," you announce, letting her know that you are aware of her behavior.
"Takeda, right? Hello." You greet her.
She scoffs and walks away.
I knew she was a little rude, but I didn't even do anything.
As much as you wanted to confront her, you decided against it. It wasn't the right time or place to do so.
After getting more familiar with the campus, you go back to the tennis courts and watch L and Light converse.
"It's been a while since I had to play that hard. I'm feeling kind of thirsty, plus there's something I wanted to ask you about. " Light seemed hesitant about asking.
"You've humored me with a tennis match. The least I can do is answer some of your questions. " L responded
You walk over towards L and Light, making sure they don't ignore you.
L glanced over at you while Light gave a small smile.
"Hey N/n! We just finished our tennis match, I was going to have a chat with Ryuzaki" Light said to you.
Is he trying to get me to leave?
"Before this conversation goes any further, there is something I must tell you." L interrupts, facing his back towards you
You walked around so you were behind Light, so that L was facing the both of you.
"What's that?" Light asked.
L looks over at you while you nod, letting him know that you were listening.
"I suspect that you, Light Yagami, are in fact Kira, and you, N/n, aren't a simple character either, " L announced.
Okay, genius, you came to that conclusion because you couldn't find my information in the database. How'd he even find my nickname?
"Hah, you think I'm Kira?" Light played the accusation off.
"Well, when I say I suspect you, it means a 1% possibility, while N/n has no sign of identification to prove she even exists. She currently has a 0.2% chance of being Kira and a 0.5% chance of being associated with Kira" L told Light
"I'm telling you, once I'm sure you're not Kira and your deductive skills are as strong as I think they are then I'd like nothing more than to have you help with this investigation"
"As for N/n, you seem to be smart enough to keep your tracks hidden. If I am certain you are not involved with Kira and you have nothing else to hide, I would like to see if your deductive skills are as good as I suspect Light's to be." L concluded
Time skip to the coffee shop:
"This coffee shop is one of my favorites, and if we sit here, there's no chance of anyone hearing us." Light announced
"Thanks for showing me this place, I can see why you like it" L said
"Besides we're so out of the way no ones gonna give you a hard time about the way you sit" Light responded cheekily
"You seem to be analyzing his body language a lot. He probably sits like that because his deductive skills might be reduced" you say proudly, only knowing this due to L's reasoning in the anime
L looks at you, finally acknowledging you
"Yes, Ms. N/n is correct, I have to sit like this or I would lose around 40% of my deductive skills" L added
"So what was it you wanted to ask me" L says wiggling his toes
You look down and laugh
"I'm sure that can wait until you're convinced that I'm not Kira, so let's talk about whatever you want to" Light says while sipping his cup of coffee
"You're under no obligation to do this but would you both mind submitting yourself to a test of deductive reasoning" L looks at the both of you
"Sure, sounds like fun" you and Light say at the same time
"Jinx, you need to pay for the food I'm eating right now" you smile
"There is no need for that, I will be paying" L replied
"Really? Thanks" you say, gratefully
"It's the least I can do" L says rubbing his neck
"By the way, Ms. N/n, what should I address you by? Do you have a full name I should call you by? " L asked
This might be a test to see if I'm stupid enough to give my full name during this crisis.
"Keep calling me N/n. I'm sure you know why I can't be giving out my name, even if it is you. " You reply swiftly.
L nods approvingly, seemingly proud of you for knowing what to say and not blindly giving out your name.
"Okay, then do you mind waiting outside while Light takes the test? I want both results to be accurate and not based on one another's. I'll call you back when I'm done with the test," L said, leaving no room for debate.
"I do mind, but I'll go wait outside" you say speed walking outside
