Panthera has been there for a week and Connor has been freaking out. “Calm down sweetie.” Candance says kindly. “How can I calm down when my whole world is gone!” Connor yells. Candance flinches and gives up. She leaves his room and goes downstairs. Connor runs his hands through his hair and sighs. He looks out the window at the moon and a tear falls. “Why did you have to leave?” he says to the moon. He gets an idea and runs downstairs. “We have to go to the Cherokee mountains!” His mom and dad look up at him and jump up. “Why?” his mom asks. “That's where Panthera is going to be!” he says. They all run out and drive off in the car.
