Chapter 54, Butterfly Of Life
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" El beso de una mariposa Trae buena suerte. "
(Translation)
" This kiss of a butterfly brings good luck. "
~ Natalie James's POV ~
After the fight with Lola and Javon, Dani and Jaden were allowed to spend the night with me.
We spoke about many different things, I watched as Dani for the first time blushed.
I couldn't help but stare in awe, the two were hitting it off and they had no idea.
They were a year apart, so it wasn't a big deal if they did start dating.
After a couple of hours, I felt myself get real tired.
I watched as a butterfly, fly over to me.
It landed on my nose and gave me a kiss before flying out of my room, I was confused to say the least.
Dani noticed and smiled sweetly, she came over to me and hugged me tightly.
" El beso de una mariposa Trae buena suerte. "
I understood what she said considering Spanish was her first language when mom first adopted her.
Jaden walked over and hugged me tightly as well, I'm guessing they were praying that there was going to be good luck.
Soon I fell asleep, allowing my body to relax into a comfortable position.
I was back into the waiting room, but this time it felt like I wasn't going to leave.
The room felt like home already from the amount of times I've came here, but it felt like I was staying here forever.
That's when Elizabeth appeared, she was wearing a white dress.
She had a flower crown and she looked gorgeous, I hugged her tightly and we began to talk about everything.
Turns out she was given another chance at life, she was in a coma for a year.
She still returns to the waiting room until it was finally her time to return to Earth, I was happy for her.
We began to talk about the fight that happened in the hospital, she smiled at me.
I felt my cheeks heat up, it was out of embarrassment as I realized that I was rambling.
She didn't mind though, she allowed me to ramble which made me feel like I was wanted.
We spoke about what we wanted to do once we get back home, she has two sisters and a dog named Bongo.
Elizabeth also admitted she has a boyfriend waiting for her at home.
As I felt myself fading away, I knew I was waking up and going back to the real world.
Elizabeth grabbed my hand and looked at me with a happy look, she was also fading.
This would be the last time we would see each other, I'm hoping we could see each other again in the real world.
As our hands faded to nothingness, Elizabeth looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"I was the butterfly Natalie, I give you good luck."
I felt tears threaten to fall as we finally dispersed into nothing, I woke up in my own bed.
It was now morning and I couldn't stop thinking about Elizabeth, she gave me good luck to be healthy and well.
Jaden was still asleep with Danielle's head on his lap, I smiled and took a deep breath.
Now that I was given a good luck kiss, I was sure I would get up from the hospital bed and be able to be healthy again.
I needed to stay alive for Mila and Milo, for everyone actually.
A smile crept on my face as I went back to sleep, this time I wasn't in the white waiting room.
But I woke up in a field of dandelions, I was in a white dress and I was wearing a flower crown.
I was very confused, especially since I didn't have any shoes on nor socks.
I walked around until I bumped into Elizabeth, I was quite confused.
She was laying down, her body was limp and she didn't move at all.
I crouched down and moved her body to look at me but let out a horrifying scream when I saw her.
She was lifeless, she had a strangulation mark around her neck.
That was when I saw into her life, I gasped.
She never went back to the world, she went to heaven.
Her classmate, someone who was frustrated with her had strangled her.
I cried, I held onto her lifeless body as if it would change anything.
I would have never found her body if it weren't for the good luck kiss.
I took a deep breath and grabbed a dandelion, I placed it in her hair and kissed her forehead gently.
I laid down, staring at the clouds in the sunny sky.
I was praying that I'd be able to go home without struggle, I closed my eyes as the heat beamed down on my skin.
Everything bothered me, but I didn't want to complain in case my life would be taken away.
But now that butterfly kiss didn't do anything, I was still here and my family were there.
I took everything for granted and hated myself for that, all I want is another chance at life.
