31. Birthday greetings

Taehyung's birthday celebrations are basic. They showed images of him growing up; however, his infant pictures are only three pieces because the majority of them were burned in their original pack. There are also video greetings from his siblings and closest friends, Mr. and Mrs. Park, as well as the head alpha and luna of the Blood Moon Pack. Of course, Jungkook is also present; though, when he films the video, neither of them is aware that they are mates.

Taehyung was smiling and crying in joy while watching the video presentation. He's overwhelmed that there are a lot of people who love and cherish him.

He also realized on the video that Jungkook had already fallen for him even before they knew that they were actually mates. The way the true blood alpha talked about him, the way he smiled while mentioning his name, and his sparkling eyes when he described Taehyung.

He sobbed a lot when he heard Jong Suk and Hye Kyo's message, especially Seo Joon and Minyoung's words, the two who treated him and his brothers like their own children. His siblings' message also caused him to cry.

The video has ended, and his siblings rush over to offer him a heartfelt embrace while the three cry. Everyone applauded and rejoiced as they witnessed their love for one another.

Taehyung couldn't see Jungkook, Jong Suk, and Seo Joon as the program was about to close. He attempted to mindlink his mate, but Jungkook appeared to block him because he couldn't even feel his alpha's emotions.

Taehyung pouted when he discovered three people were abruptly missing from the celebration while the program was still going on.

After a few more minutes, the program ended. Everyone was done with their dinner, which they had already served to the guests during the video presentation.

Loud music began to play, and people gathered in the center, clutching their glasses of wine. Some were dancing, while others were simply sitting quietly on the couch and conversing.

Taehyung walks around the hall, greeting his guests, while his eyes are still looking for a specific trueblood alpha. The omega approached Dr. Irene first, who was speaking with his classmates Joy and the rest of the group.

"Taehyung, omg, your new hair color looks good on you. I didn't know you dye your hair often," Irene stated.

"Uhm, yeah. I like to p-play with my hair," Taehyung responded, stuttering, because he does not color his hair; instead, it changes naturally.

"Happy birthday, Taehyung!" Joy screamed as her companion greeted him as well.

"You can now smell your mate. Haven't you found him yet?" Seulgi asked, making Taehyung blush. The youngster did not respond to the questioning; instead, he just smiled.

"Your siblings and friends are so lucky to be mated with the most popular boys in this pack." Wendy went on to say

"Agree. But unlucky enough not to be Jungkook's mate. I would really do anything just to have a taste of that hot alpha," Yeri stated with a laugh. Taehyung wanted to slap her but fought to control his emotions.

"Gotta go. I have to greet other guests as well," Taehyung said, leaving the five beta girls behind.

"That bitch! Taste your own mate!" Taehyung thought to himself.

"That's my human! You should've slapped her or something."

"Why would I? . Aren't we too war freaks if we do that? Beside, she doesn't know that Jungkook and I are mates."

"Oh, Kim Taehyung. You're too good to be true."

"And you're too sassy to be an omega," Taehyung responded, mentally rolling his eyes.

Taehyung then moves on to another group of people, then to another. He's exhausted and worried at the same time, since Jungkook hasn't arrived at the venue yet.

He was ready to take a brief rest when Minho, together with his friends Lisa, Rose, and Jennie, approached him.

"Happy birthday, Taehyung!" everyone exclaimed in different tones.

"Thank you. Are you having fun?" Taehyung asked, beaming at them.

"We do. The food that was served is all so delicious," stated Tae Min.

"I agree. And those liquors? Wow! They're all so expensive and tasty!" Jennie exclaimed, beaming as she looked at all the expensive liquors on display.

"You look wonderful tonight Tae. I like your new hair color" commented Minho.

"Thank you. It's so far my favorite," Taehyung answered, flashing his signature boxy smile.

"I didn't know you were that close to Luna Hye Kyo that she would give you lots of cuddling," Lisa snapped, raising an eyebrow.

"You can say that. Actually, she's also the one to organize this party," Taehyung answered back with a smug expression on his face, which annoyed the beta female.

"Good to hear. But I see Jungkook and his father are not here. Not interested in you, I guess" Lisa remarked with a sneer.

"Actually, h-" Taehyung was cut short by toned arms that had abruptly wrapped around his waist. The omega didn't even flinch because he could already smell his mate's scent before hugging him from behind. Lisa gasps at the unexpected scene.

"Hey, Love. I'm sorry I had to do something important," Jungkook said, placing a chaste kiss on the younger's shoulder.

"It's okay, but you should have told me before leaving," Taehyung responded.

"I'm so-" Jungkook was cut off by Lisa, causing his blood to boil in rage.

"Excuse me! But... are guys together or just another fuck buddy?" Lisa questioned.

"I can see that Taehyung doesn't have a mark, so I believe you two are not friends," she added.

"Actually we'r-"

"Why stoop so low? If you want a fuck buddy, you can just ask me," Lisa remarked, rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me, but is that how you talk to your future luna?" Hye Kyo intervened, hearing everything.

"Luna? I-I'm sorry? F-future luna?" Lisa stuttered, afraid of disappointing her own luna.

"Taehyung is my mate Lisa, so this will be the last time you'll disrespect my mate, your future luna. And to all of you, no one will ever try to flirt with what's mine," Jungkook added as he stood properly intertwining his hand with Taehyung and looking directly at Minho.

"Now, if you'll excuse us, let's go, baby," Jungkook murmured, gently guiding Taehyung to where their friends were.

"Sorry. Please enjoy the rest of the night," Taehyung remarked, beaming at the astonished group.
