Maahis P.O.V:
I didn't want to let go of his hands or look away from his eyes, because they were telling me stories and not one of those stories told me he was a murderer.
"MAAHI!!!" Karthik yelled from far away. Abhi wanted to let go of my hands but I didn't budge. Karthik came closer and closer, "What are you doing? Is he your boyfriend now?!?! I mean god Maahi I told you he killed my bhabi!! You always respected my bhabi and now talking to her murderer is disrespecting her!!" Karthik said in disgust.
"I'm so sorry Maahi but I couldn't keep him any longer!" Asha told me.
"Did you see your bhabi getting killed?" I asked sternly.
"What??? What kind of question is that?" Karthik asked in anger.
"Did you or did you not see your bhabi getting killed??" I asked once again looking back at Abhi, whose hands I hadn't let go.
"No but bhai did. I mean can you imagine the horror of seeing your own wife getting killed, and on top of all that he had to go to jail for a murder he didn't commit!!" Karthik yelled. I immediately let go of Abhis hand and grabbed my bag from the ground,
"Where are you going??" Karthik asked like he controlled me.
"I haven't met such a stupid person like you!! Karthik people go to jail to be punished!! Abhi is standing in front of me, he is not in jail!!!"
Karthik grabbed my arm, "My brother looked me in the eye and said he didn't commit the murder...."
"Fine Karthik, but when I look into Abhis eyes I don't see a murderer." I said to shut Karthiks mouth. Honestly, I have no idea why I am helping Abhi but I cannot see someone getting blamed for something they didn't do. I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible but I knew if I didn't prove Abhi innocent his life would be hell. I was going to go to my apartment and cool down before i punched someone , "Heyyyy!!!!!! Maahi right? You didn't answer me about the roommate idea...", Tanya said rushing towards me. I kept walking and she kept following me I had finally reached my apartment and Tanya was still behind me. I was about to go in and slam the door on her face but she said something that caught my attention,
"I can help you prove Abhi innocent if you let me be your roommate....." Tanya said trying to make a deal.
"What? How did you know??" I asked really freaking surprised.
"I have my ways....." Tanya said, "Oh come on I know the guy for 10 years!! I am officially a stalker!! I have only known you for a few minutes, but trust me I know everything about you, Maahi Patel" Tanya claimed.
"Oh really??" I said trying to act cool because somewhere I felt she was right, I hadn't told her my last name.
"Maahi Patel, best friends with Karthik Verma and Aarav Shah. You dated Karthik but it didn't work out because his mother doesn't like you and you didn't want to hurt his mothers feelings. You truly care about other people and the reason his mother didn't like you is because your an orphan but you consider your orphanage as your family. You try to protect everyone even though you have no clue who they are......I can go on but I think I made my point." Tanya said taking a breath, my jaw had dropped and the only thing I said is,
"How do you know all this Tanya?"
"I know this the same way as you know Abhi is innocent...."
