It was 7:30 and the sun was just starting to rise. Hailee's plan was about to go into its final phase and hopefully, everything would go according to plan. Both Families had made it to the house and were hanging out in the closed garage with heaters being as quiet as they could as to not tip off y/n. Pete was already on the phone with Hailee so the group knew when to move from the garage into the house for a better view of the actual proposal. With everything all set up and in place the only thing left to do was to get y/n up and moving.

*wrapping arms around y/n in bed* Merry Christmas my love.

Well Christmas Eve but you get the idea.

*kisses y/n's neck*

*stretching* Is it time already?

Yeah.

It's time to get up.

What is it time for again?

Time to open our gifts.

Maybe spend some time curled up on the couch watching Christmas specials.

You know the typical Christmas things.

Okay, let me get up.

I'll be downstairs in a minute you go ahead.

Well, I think I'll go ahead and wait for you.

Why?

I want to see your reaction to the tree.

What did you do to it? burn it?

You'll just have to go and look at it.

Can you not see the tree with all the gifts around it?

I can't tell you you'll just have to see it for yourself.

You're no fun you know that?

Ahh well if I'm no fun I'll forget about what is arguably the best gift of the day.

Best gift of the day?

Yeah, i would have loved for you to see it.

It would have been fun for both of us.

Ok okay.

Maybe you are pretty fun but you have your moments where you aren't.

Well, I don't believe in ruining surprises, that's no fun.

However, you might want to look out the window for me.

Specifically the front yard.

Oh yeah?

what's out there that's so interesting?

Go take a look.

*walks to the window* Holy Shit!!!!

*turns around* Babe did you get snow trucked in for me?

Maybe I did, maybe it's just a Christmas miracle.
